Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Mining Project Delivery team in Denver. You will lead I&C engineering on multi-discipline mining projects, coordinating staff and working with clients to deliver robust control solutions.

The role involves developing specifications, P&IDs, data sheets and control narratives, reviewing technical documents, and mentoring engineers to ensure high-quality results. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR check.
• PE in Colorado or ability to acquire one.
• On-site field experience in commissioning and start-ups for facilities.
• 10+ years or more of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership in instrumentation & controls on mining projects.
• Serve as lead I&C engineer on mid-size to large projects.
• Coordinate staff on designs, drawings, reports and calculations.
• Develop proposals and support mining business growth.
• Mentor technical staff and ensure quality across tasks.
• Write scopes of work, specifications, P&ID checks and data sheets.
