Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Discipline Lead to support mining projects and to help build a team of electrical engineers. The role is based in Denver, CO, with flexibility for other listed western locations, and requires leading design and instrumentation & controls efforts.

You will coordinate staff, develop proposals with the mining leadership, and ensure high-quality technical output while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• PE license in CO or ability to obtain in other states.
• Experience leading electrical design for mining projects.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the electrical discipline in mining projects.
• Lead design, analysis, and documentation for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design efforts and staff across projects.
• Develop project proposals with the Mining business leader.
• Mentor and supervise technical staff and junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specs.
• Present complex solutions to clients and perform technical reviews.
