Job summary

Stantec’s Reno, Elko, or Las Vegas, NV offices are seeking a mid to senior level project manager with 10+ years in mining environmental services and permitting. You will manage multiple planning and permitting projects, develop client relations, and grow business from the mining sector.

Responsibilities include guiding permitting and planning, budget/control, mentoring staff, coordinating with regulators, and delivering NEPA-based analyses with high technical quality.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of environmental impact analysis methods and mining industry knowledge.
• Experience with mine permitting, NEPA requirements, and related regulations.
• Professional mining client-relations experience, especially in Nevada/adjacent states.

Responsibilities

• Guide permitting and planning processes for mining projects, including budgets and schedules.
• Mentor staff in regulatory strategy and project management.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and local governments.
• Oversee technical studies and environmental assessments under NEPA and other rules.
• Prepare NEPA documents and ensure regulatory compliance in final products.
• Support business development and cross-team collaboration in mining services.
