Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Construction Manager II to support a Project Manager on large-scale industrial projects in the United States. The role focuses on coordinating contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications to meet objectives efficiently.

The ideal candidate has extensive self-perform crew management experience, mechanical process piping exposure, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project site experience with $100M minimum value
• Thorough understanding of PMP elements including scope, procurement, environment, time, cost, quality and risk plans
• Four-year construction degree or equivalent technical training with 6+ years industry experience
• Proficient use of MS Office and scheduling software; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate staff for contracted projects while maintaining profitability
• Communicate with crews and field managers to complete projects within guidelines, budgets, and hours
• Understand contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and drawings; manage budget and cost control processes
• Enforce safety training and meetings; monitor job sites for hazards
• Build relationships with clients and assist with issues or problems
• Plan, direct, coordinate and motivate the project team to achieve goals
• Assist with takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork and utilities as required
• Monitor daily budget goals and weekly labor costs; adjust as needed
• Lead project teams to ensure relentless execution of projects
