Job summary

Sundt Construction in Phoenix seeks a Construction Manager II to assist the Project Manager in planning, directing and delivering assigned construction projects, ensuring client satisfaction and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will coordinate contracts, drawings and specifications for timely, efficient project completion.

Experience with self-perform crews on large industrial projects and involvement in schedules and safety is essential.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years and $100M minimum project site experience.
2. Knowledge of PMP components including scope, procurement, environmental, time, financial, quality, safety and risk management.
3. Four-year construction degree or equivalent training plus 6+ years of construction industry experience.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software.
5. Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional leadership.
7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

1. Direct and coordinate staff for project management and profitability.
2. Communicate with crews and field managers to meet budgets, guidelines, and hours.
3. Understand contracts, subcontracts, POs, budgets, and change management processes.
4. Enforce safety training and monitor sites for hazards.
5. Build and maintain client relationships and assist with issues.
6. Plan, direct, and motivate team members to achieve goals.
7. Participate in form design and takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, and utilities.
8. Track daily budgets and weekly labor costs to meet targets.
9. Develop and supervise project team for relentless execution.
