Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Mining Construction Contract Manager to oversee and manage all contracts for a large mining EPCM project in our Earth & Environment team. This full-time onsite role can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada, with preference for Nevada, Utah, or near major mining projects.

Travel per diem is available for non-local candidates, and the role involves coordinating with the client, procurement, and project controls to ensure contractual compliance and successful project

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement and contract management experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on contract administration, documentation, and communication while onsite during a large-scale project with multiple vendors.
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, negotiations, and industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions in collaboration with the client and WSP teams.
• Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of field work instructions, amendments and contract change orders.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, notices, and deadlines.
• Identify contractual risks and work with project, legal, commercial, finance, and procurement teams to mitigate them.
• Manage contract correspondence, records, claims, variations, and supporting documentation.
• Provide guidance to project team on contractual rights, responsibilities, processes, and escalation requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
• Assist with commercial reporting, cost impacts, payment provisions, and contractual performance tracking.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
