Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mining Construction Contract Manager to oversee and manage contracts for a large mining EPCM project in the Earth & Environment team. This full-time onsite role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada, with preference in Nevada, Utah, or near major mining projects.

Travel per diem is provided for non-local candidates. The successful candidate will review, negotiate, and administer contracts, monitor milestones, and coordinate with client, procurement, and project

Qualifications

• 10+ years in procurement and contract management for heavy civil or mining projects.
• Onsite contract administration with multiple vendors.
• Knowledge of contract terms, negotiations, and standards.
• Safety-focused; MSHA 48B Surface required.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and MS Office skills.
• Ability to liaise among designers, owners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Able to work in active construction sites, including underground.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and administer contracts for compliance with terms and conditions.
• Support negotiation and execution of field work instructions, amendments, and change orders.
• Monitor obligations, milestones, notices, and deadlines.
• Identify risks and Mitigate with project, legal, commercial, and procurement teams.
• Manage contract correspondence, records, claims, variations, and docs.
• Provide guidance on contractual rights, responsibilities, and escalation.
• Coordinate with engineering and stakeholders on contract matters.
• Assist with commercial reporting, cost impacts, and performance tracking.
• Uphold ethics and adhere to company policies.
