Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mining Construction Contract Administrator to oversee contract management for a large mining EPCM project within the Earth & Environment team. This full‑time onsite role has preference for candidates in Nevada, Utah, or near major mining sites; travel per diem is available for non‑locals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant procurement and contract management experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure projects.
• Onsite experience with multiple vendors on a large-scale project.
• Knowledge of contract terms, negotiations, and industry standards and regulations.
• MSHA certification is required.
• Strong verbal/written communication and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to liaise between designers, owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Able to work in active construction environments, including underground.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions in collaboration with the client and the WSP procurement, construction management, and project controls teams.
• Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of field work instructions, amendments and contract change orders.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, notices, and deadlines.
• Identify contractual risks and mitigate them with project, legal, commercial, finance, and procurement teams.
• Manage contract correspondence, records, claims, variations, and supporting documentation.
• Provide guidance to project team on contractual rights, responsibilities, processes, and escalation requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
• Assist with commercial reporting, cost impacts, payment provisions, and contractual performance tracking.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
