Job summary

WSP Lakewood, CO is seeking a Senior Mineral Processing Engineer to lead technical design and deliverables for mining projects. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

You will apply expertise in gold heap leaching, copper flotation, and hydrometallurgy, coordinate with sub-consultants, and contribute to cost estimates and design packages while upholding WSP’s safety and conduct policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mineral Process Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of process engineering experience on mining, mineral processing, or metallurgical capital projects, with depth in heap leaching, flotation, or solvent extraction.
• Familiarity with HAZOP and process safety review methodologies; EPCM project experience.
• Experience coordinating deliverables from sub-consultants and turnkey packages.
• Strong research, analytical mindset, and technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Assist with project research, preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.

• Travel as required by project needs.
