Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead mining and related industrial projects from Salt Lake City, UT, with consideration for Helena, MT, Phoenix, AZ, and Lakewood, CO. You will guide project delivery, engineering leadership, and controls across North America, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes managing scope, schedule, budget, and risks, with involvement in business development and formal project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major, or equivalent experience in a technical or engineering firm.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project management, or engineering management in Mining, Mineral Processing, Industrial Water Treatment, or Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of project delivery within AEC and background in project management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with leaders, clients, subcontractors, and staff.
• Experience managing project financial performance, forecasting, and cost to complete.
• Self-motivated with strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision‑making.
• Proficiency with MS Office and PM tools.
• Travel up to 25% and ability to pass background check and work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross‑functional teams to deliver multiple projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead teams delivering engineering studies, EPCM, Owner’s Engineer, and other models.
• Develop technical understanding across disciplines to coordinate and resolve risks.
• Support business development including client relationships, proposals, and resource planning.
• Establish technical reviews and QA/QC adherence on projects.
• Develop and update initiation/setup documentation (RMP, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications Plan).
• Complete closeout activities and document lessons learned.
• Exercise ethical decision‑making regarding company funds and resources.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
