SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks a Principal Mine Permitting & NEPA Consultant to guide major mining projects in Arizona and the Southwest. This senior, client-facing role combines strategic leadership with deep regulatory expertise to influence regulators, manage multidisciplinary teams, and grow our mining practice.

You will lead permitting and NEPA efforts, mentor staff, and build long-term client relationships while delivering high-quality regulatory support and business development across

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years in permitting, compliance, and NEPA in mining
Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder projects
Strong knowledge of US federal and state environmental regulations for mining

Responsibilities

Lead consulting projects for key mining clients
Mentor senior and junior staff across disciplines
Engage regulators and stakeholders; present at hearings and associations
Drive business development and client relationships in the mining sector
Provide high-level project management oversight (scope, schedule, budget)
