Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a senior planning supervisor to oversee division planning, supervise the planning staff, and coordinate front line supervisors.

You will drive runtime forecasting, develop monthly plans, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality in planning processes. The role requires strong leadership, SAP and MS Office proficiency, and a focus on safety, efficiency, and collaboration across mine operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 8 years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations, including 5 years in leadership.
• Associates in a technical field with 6 years related field maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations, including 3 years in leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field with 4 years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations including supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong mentoring capabilities in leadership, professionalism, organization/technical skills, etc.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Extensive working knowledge of Freeport-McMoRan standards, practices, and strategies, especially SAP maintenance modules.
• Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and MS Office.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff from various levels throughout the organization
• Able to develop and maintain strong positive working relationships
• Ability to develop awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the division Planners and other planning department staff
• Set meaningful objectives for the division Planners and maintain relationships with front line supervisors
• Monitor and quality control planning processes through data measurement
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
• Drive the division runtime forecasting process and outcomes
• Oversee development of detailed monthly plans for each area
• Facilitate reconciliation meetings with mine stakeholders
• Conduct monthly success-against-plan analyses
• Prepare division planning budget recommendations for the Superintendent
• Ensure budget, forecast costs, parts availability and materials management
• Spend time in the field reviewing job preparation, execution, and follow up
• Ensure pre-job and post-job requirements are met to Freeport-McMoRan standards
• Provide timely feedback to the division Superintendent on planning processes
• Perform other duties as requested
