Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. Morenci operations seeks an experienced planning leader to oversee the division's planning function and supervise the planning staff.

You will ensure efficient job planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting while maintaining strong safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes driving runtime forecasting, coordinating with mine stakeholders, and delivering daily to long-range planning with practical field input.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 8+ years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/mfg or industrial operations; leadership role.
• Associates in a technical field with 6+ years related maintenance experience including 3+ years in leadership; or
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of maintenance experience including supervisory/lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the division Planners and other planning department staff.
• Set meaningful objectives for the division Planners and maintain effective working relationships with front-line supervisors.
• Drive and ensure operational excellence in maintenance activities.
• Support the Superintendent's success in safe job outcomes and department effectiveness.
• Oversee daily, short-term and long-range planning and scheduling processes.
• Ensure quality control in planning processes and procedures.
• Prepare division planning budget recommendations for the Superintendent.
• Spend time in the field reviewing job preparation, execution, and follow-up.
