Job summary

Crucible ETN in East Tennessee seeks a Graduate Mining Engineer to start in the underground operations team, rotating through roles before transitioning to an engineering position. You will help create development, drilling, and blast plans and perform post-mining reconciliations.

The role requires a Mining Engineering degree, a valid driver's license, and relevant intern or related experience, plus proficiency in MS Office and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree majoring in Mining Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Current Driver's License.
• Preferably 1-year relevant experience in the mining industry or proof of mine site intern work.
• Computer literacy Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all engineering tasks.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Initially will spend 12 months working as part of the underground operation team, rotating through various roles and gaining familiarity with the underground mining process. Following that will be moved to an engineering role.
• Create mining plans for the direction of operations including development plans, drilling designs, blast plans, etc.
• Conduct post mining reconciliation reviews.
• Develop 7+21 schedules to coordinate mining activities and present these to the technical and operating team.
• Liaise with other members of the operational and technical team.
