Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Rockford, IL seeks an Applications/Product Engineer with MIM or powder metals experience to design and interface with customers, supporting new products, applications, and markets.

You will develop quotes, lead proto samples, and drive manufacturability through APQP Gate 1 to Gate 5, coordinating with Sales and Launch teams for successful manufacturing introductions.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIM or powder metals required.
• Strong design capabilities and customer interfacing experience.
• Ability to generate engineering quotations and support APQP.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering quotations for new products incl. materials, steps, costs.
• Recommend manufacturability improvements for MIM components.
• Lead engineering and proto-type sample manufacturing and delivery.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and internal teams.
• Guid APQP through Gate 1 and participate through Gate 5.
