Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer MIM in Rockford, IL. This role focuses on designing and promoting new products and applications within the MIM/ powder metals space, interfacing with customers, and supporting product launches.

The position requires hands-on engineering with quotation development, manufacturability improvement, and leadership of proto-type deliveries, as well as guiding APQP activities with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal injection molding (MIM) or powder metals
• Strong design skills with CAD capability
• Customer interface experience and technical communication

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering quotations for new products including raw materials, operations, tooling and capital costs
• Recommend design changes to ensure manufacturability in MIM technology and modify CAD models
• Lead manufacture and delivery of engineering and prototype samples
• Lead technical discussions with customers and represent their interests with internal teams
• Guide APQP activities through Gate 1 and participate through Gate 5
