Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Rockford, IL is seeking an Applications/Product Engineer with MIM or powder metals experience. The role focuses on planning, designing and promoting new products while supporting sales and product launches.

You will lead quotations, drive manufacturability improvements, and guide APQP activities through Gates 1–5, coordinating with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure successful production introductions.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal injection molding (MIM) or powder metals.
• Ability to design and modify components for manufacturability.
• Experience interfacing with customers to translate needs into engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering quotations for new products, including materials, processes, tooling and capital costs.
• Recommend design changes to ensure manufacturability with MIM.
• Lead manufacturing and delivery of engineering and proto-type samples.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and represent customer needs internally.
• Lead APQP activities through Gate 1 and participate through Gate 5.
