Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a skilled Millwright to install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and conveyors. You will transport and position equipment using forklifts, hoists, and cranes, and assemble machines from components per floor plans.

The role requires reading layouts and blueprints, welding, and precise measurements with micrometers to maintain tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of Millwright experience or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Ability to work all shifts and overtime including weekends/holidays.
• Experience as a millwright in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read layouts/blueprints/drawings to determine procedures.
• Ability to dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Welding knowledge (arc, acetylene, hydrogen).
• Move machinery using hoists and dollies.
• Use power tools and precision measuring devices.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery, conveyors, and related systems.
• Transport and locate machines to the desired location using forklifts, hoists, winches, cranes.
• Assemble equipment from component parts and follow complex instruction books.
• Read layouts/blueprints/drawings to determine procedures and tolerances.
• Perform incidental tasks to complete larger projects.
• Maintain extreme tolerances using micrometers and precision tools.
