Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Technician for our Greenfield, IN facility. The role focuses on driving equipment reliability, leading complex mechanical rebuilds, troubleshooting drive systems and mentoring shift technicians in precision maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma with 8+ years of experience (or appropriate industrial certification). Expect a climate-controlled plant environment, with a night shift schedule and opportunities

Qualifications

• 8+ years of verifiable work in mechanical drive trains or 4+ years with a relevant credential.
• Strong knowledge of bearing preloads, gear sets and AC/DC drives.
• Safety-focused with teamwork and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Precision mechanical work: alignments, timing, belt tensioning and assembly of gear reducers.
• Boost equipment reliability through preventive maintenance routes.
• Troubleshoot and repair drive system failures across process equipment.
• Mentor shift maintenance technicians with hands-on guidance.
• Create and update SOPs, documentation and technical drawings.
