Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to address mechanical drive system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The role requires hands-on expertise, safety leadership, and the ability to support engineering and operations teams.

The technician will develop and follow preventive maintenance plans, update technical documentation, and participate in special projects to improve equipment reliability and safety on nights

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years verifiable work experience in mechanical drive train and repair (if no degree).
• Strong knowledge of bearing preloads and gear sets.
• Experience with AC/DC drives and mechanical drive systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical schematics and SOPs.
• Safety-first mindset and adherence to procedures.
• Willingness to cross-train and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical drive systems, align shafts, tension belts, and service gear reducers.
• Establish mechanical inspection and preventive maintenance routes.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, diagnosing failures.
• Transfer technical knowledge to shift maintenance technicians.
• Support projects, training, and development of new procedures and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
