Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory seeks a Military Systems Cyber Analyst to advance cyber capabilities for critical U.S. missions.

You will analyze military missions and systems, identify vulnerabilities, and apply rigorous approaches to strengthen defense outcomes. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and collaborate with government decision-makers to translate findings into robust, deployable solutions, with occasional travel and security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in CS, cybersecurity, or related technical field.
• At least seven years of defense/mission-domain experience.
• Experience across three or more listed areas (e.g., systems/mission engineering, cyber resiliency, security design, DoD practices, reverse engineering, threats).

Responsibilities

• Apply holistic adversary-like approach to evaluate U.S. systems and cyber threats.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with authorities to analyze missions and identify vulnerabilities.
• Guide security engineering from concept to disposal.
• Communicate findings via written reports and presentations to stakeholders.
