Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Military Systems Cyber Analyst to lead multi-disciplinary teams, evaluate U.S. systems, and identify vulnerabilities in mission-driven contexts.

The role emphasizes secure engineering, strategy influence, and collaboration with government and industry partners. Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving skills, experience with DoD contexts, and the ability to travel for CONUS missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CS, Cybersecurity, EE, or related area.
  • At least 7 years of defense, intelligence, or mission-domain experience.
  • Experience in three or more listed areas such as system security, cyber threat intel, or red-teaming.

Responsibilities

  • Apply adversary-like evaluation to U.S. systems and operations.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior members.
  • Analyze missions and systems to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Guide security engineering from concept to disposal with robust practices.
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
