Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking interns to research cyber resilience for military platforms and systems, learning to design, develop, implement, and test cyber capabilities across air, sea, land, and undersea domains.

You will work on state-of-the-art research areas, collaborate with industry, academia, and government, and gain experience delivering technical briefings on complex cybersecurity topics throughout the summer.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Experience with Python, Rust, C, C++, Java, scripting and testing.
  • Experience with INCOSE/IEEE/ISO standards and Cameo EA for system models.
  • Experience with threat assessment, attack frameworks, and cybersecurity modeling.
  • Experience with LLMs, RAG, agentic tool calling and mitigations.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA and eligibility for Interim Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Research cyber resilience for military platforms and systems.
  • Develop, test, and apply cyber capabilities across multi-domain platforms.
  • Collaborate with industry, academia, and government on development efforts.
  • Prepare technical briefings on cybersecurity topics learned during internships.
