Job summary

REV Group is seeking an experienced welder to perform advanced welding tasks, including 2G/3G/6G welds, read blueprints, and repair metal components in a manufacturing setting. The role requires certification and the ability to pass stringent welding standards.

The ideal candidate will handle precision welding across various materials, operate welding equipment, and follow strict safety regulations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or General Education Diploma.
• Math and blueprint reading skills.
• Must pass 2G, 3G or 6G certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, or flux core welding processes.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques.
• Must maintain certification according to AWS certification.
• Ability to read and understand basic assembly prints, weld symbols and measure dimensions.
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding processes and sequences.
• Prepares materials and setups, and ensures all welds meet structural and safety standards.
• Inspects completed welds for defects and ensures adherence to codes and industry regulations.
• Operates and maintains welding equipment and automated systems; may work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
• Adheres to safety procedures for hazardous environments; may assist in training other welders.
• May require 0-1 year of certified welding work experience and/or proven qualifications of skillset.
