Qualifications

• Must have 5 years welding experience
• Apprenticeship or welding certification required
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, isometrics, blueprints
• Proficient in English
• Knowledge of ASME/API code experience is preferred
• Welding equipment operation per code standards

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications; cut material to match measurements
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts
• Align components using tape measures and clamps
• Accurately cut and assemble pipe per drawings
• Weld pipe and apply welding techniques per code standards
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
• Repair machinery by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces per code standards
• Maintain equipment ensuring safety
• Adhere to OSHA regulations
• Perform other duties as required
