Job summary

J MAR & Associates is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Midstream Engineering to plan, lead, and deliver capital, growth, operational, and maintenance projects across natural gas gathering, processing, and pipeline infrastructure from development to closeout.

The role requires 5+ years in midstream engineering, managing gas facilities, pipelines, compression, and related systems, with office-based work in Houston and travel to field assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience working for a midstream operator.
• Experience managing natural gas processing, pipelines, compression, treating, measurement, control-system, or related midstream infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects through full lifecycle including scoping, estimating, engineering, procurement, contracting, construction, commissioning, startup, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• PMI/PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage capital, growth, operational, and maintenance projects from initial development through completion.
• Lead project scope development, engineering, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout activities.
• Develop clear scope definitions, bid instructions, procurement packages, and project execution plans.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and cost plans.
• Prepare and present regular project updates for executive leadership and project teams.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Construction, Supply Chain, and external vendors and contractors.
