Bank of America is seeking an experienced middleware professional to manage enterprise platforms and drive production stability. You will administer a range of middleware components (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache) and contribute to regulatory initiatives while ensuring secure, resilient deployments.

You will collaborate with application teams, provide automation templates, and guide architectural best practices in a high-stakes banking environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with enterprise middleware technologies and platforms.
• Experience with WebSphere, J2EE, Java, WebLogic/Apache/Tomcat stacks.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and scripting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware administration for banking platforms end-to-end (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, WXS).
• Deliver middleware projects and regulatory initiatives with production stability.
• Maintain patched middleware with current software versions and manage risk.
• Provide server installation, configuration, and performance tuning for middleware.
• Collaborate with application teams, testing teams, and customers daily.
• Create and support deployment templates and templates for automation.
• Act as J2EE architect recommending best practices.
• Design middleware topology for high availability and failover.
• Ensure compliance with policy, baseline, standards, and business needs.
• Offer technical consulting and cross-team collaboration.
• Communicate with business partners enterprise-wide.
• Interface with vendors during SDLC and execute production changes.
