Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a Middle Markets underwriter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will underwrite both new and renewal business for the Central Zone, build broker and client relationships, and execute an annual underwriting plan while adhering to guidelines and ensuring service quality.

The role requires deep knowledge of US P&C products, strong broker relationships, and a collaborative approach. Travel within the territory is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of US insurance industry and P&C offerings.
• Demonstrated underwriting experience in Middle Market or related field.
• Proven ability to build and maintain insured and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business for assigned territory.
• Execute your own annual desk-level underwriting plan.
• Adhere to guidelines and authorities; refer when needed to Chief Underwriting Officer.
• Ensure high quality service and compliance with audit guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Cross-sell to maximize AXA XL capital deployment.
• Travel within territory for broker, client, and internal meetings.
• Develop and service broker relationships in the distribution model.
