Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Underwriter based in Florida to review applications, determine coverage levels and pricing based on risk characteristics, and ensure profitable distribution of risks. You will work within established guidelines, collaborate with producers and underwriting teams, and leverage data and software to price accurately.

The role requires 5–10 years of workers' compensation underwriting experience, a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5-10 years of Workers Compensation underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty licenses a plus.
• Strong customer service experience and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability goals.
• Use level of authority to accept, reject, or mitigate risk for applications.
• Approve or decline insurance applications within limits and prepare referrals for higher-risk cases.
• Review and analyze risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and change requests.
• Ensure underwriting activities comply with regulations.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Offer recommendations to clients to reduce exposure to risk.
• Collaborate with producers to achieve production goals.
• Finalize insurance applications efficiently with underwriting team.
• Utilize data sources and underwriting software to verify data and price accurately.
• Provide guidance to customers on insurance needs.
