Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) is seeking a Senior Underwriter Mid-Market for Workers’ Compensation in Florida. The role evaluates applications, determines coverage and pricing, and ensures profitable distribution of risk. A minimum of 5 years’ workers’ compensation underwriting or a relevant degree is required.

You will partner with producers and the underwriting team, applying guidelines and using data-driven tools to issue accurate decisions within authority and to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years underwriting experience in workers' compensation.
• Experience underwriting workers' compensation for construction, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing.
• Ability to use MS Office and learn industry software.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
• Approve or decline insurance applications within limits and prepare referrals for higher risk.
• Review risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and changes.
• Ensure underwriting activities comply with regulations.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Offer recommendations to reduce exposure to excessive risk.
• Collaborate with producers to achieve production goals.
• Work with underwriting team to finalize applications efficiently.
• Gather and verify data using databases and software for pricing.
