Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Systems/Infrastructure Engineer to support a McLean, VA-based customer. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and extensive Microsoft-based infrastructure experience across Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange, Active Directory, and Cisco networking.

The engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with cybersecurity and network teams to ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph government security clearance.
• 10+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Cisco networking expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, backup platforms, and Cisco network infrastructure.
• Develop secure baselines and ensure compliance through audits and monitoring.
• Document processes and system artifacts for internal and customer review.
• Lead vulnerability remediation, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
