Job summary

Attocube Systems AG in Germany is seeking a Sr. Manager Microscopy to lead the R&D microscopy group and shape the strategic development of SPM, sSNOM, confocal and Raman systems. You will guide a highly skilled team and own the technical roadmap, architectures, and product quality. This leadership role emphasizes collaboration with the business unit, cost-effective design, and delivering customer-specific solutions, while driving innovation and excellence across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• PhD or master's in physics or nanotech
• Experience with microscopes, ideally SPM
• Knowledge of Scanning Probe microscopy and optics
• Experience with complex system architectures

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership for the R&D microscopy group
• Strategically develop microscopy technologies (SPM, sSNOM, confocal, Raman)
• Own technical roadmap, system architectures, and product quality
• Collaborate with business unit for economic viability of tech decisions
• Ensure design-to-cost and manufacturability feasibility
• Manage and prioritize customer-specific solutions
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electronics, and software
• Represent division in strategic committees and technology initiatives
