Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a Senior Verification Engineer to join the on-site team and help shape verification strategy for high‑performance processors.

You will work hands-on in code, simulations, and architecture reviews to ensure robust tape-outs and first-pass success. You will build scalable verification platforms, write C/C++ test programs, collaborate across RTL, DFT, and physical design, and mentor others to raise the team’s expertise.

Qualifications

• Extensive verification experience on high-performance CPUs/ASICs.
• Strong C++ programming and production-quality software.
• Experience with architecture-level verification and tape-out processes.
• Ability to influence technical direction and align across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own functional verification of high-performance microprocessor designs from block level through full-chip integration.
• Design and build verification infrastructure: models, checkers, scoreboards, and chip-scale simulation frameworks.
• Write advanced C and assembly test programs to exercise architectural corner cases.
• Drive regression quality and tape-out readiness with 99%+ pass rates and clean coverage.
• Serve as technical authority in architecture reviews, coverage closure meetings, and tape-out readiness assessments.
• Identify verification risk early and propose mitigation plans.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.
• Build tools and automation to improve team velocity and verification confidence.
• Collaborate with RTL, DFT, physical design, and architecture teams across sites.
