Job summary

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI and operates data centers with a focus on speed and scale. The role involves owning the islanded grid design basis, developing grid models, and coordinating conformance and studies for power systems at scale.

You will write system guidelines, ensure designs meet requirements, and drive the studies that determine procurement and construction paths, in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with islanded grid designs and high-voltage projects preferred.
• Proficiency with EMT modeling tools and grid analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Own the islanded grid design basis, including voltage levels, topology, grounding, and redundancy boundaries.
• Write internal grid code and ensure conformance before equipment ships.
• Develop generation, BESS, and reserve sizing models and perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
• Define stability, protection philosophy, and load-shedding schemes with the compute resource integration in mind.
• Lead site visits to verify designs are implemented as specified and feed back into design revisions.
