Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Microelectronics Center seeks a Microelectronics Process Engineer to advance R&D and production of advanced microelectronics at the Space Park Foundry in Manhattan Beach, CA. You will help develop, mature, and sustain fabrication processes in a Class 10 cleanroom and collaborate with materials, reliability, and product teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with semiconductor processes, strong problem solving, and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with a Master’s degree and 0 with a PhD).
• Direct experience in semiconductor device process design and troubleshooting.
• Direct experience in semiconductor process module development and integration into an entire process flow.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Own process module development, module maturation, and integration for successful product delivery.
• Continuously improve process control and yield of existing semiconductor product lines and technology nodes.
• Evaluation, down-selection, and production qualification of new process tool capital acquisitions.
• Maintain existing cleanroom process modules and tools; monitor processes using SPC; troubleshoot issues and perform root cause investigations.
• Interface with management and cross-functional teams; document and present work clearly; multi-task and work independently.
