Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Microelectronics Engineer to support Surface Mount Technology Manual Assembly for Space Programs at the SALT facility in Elkridge, MD. The role focuses on CCA/ECA manual processes, collaborating across disciplines to improve manufacturing quality and efficiency.

The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, develop process docs, and participate in PRRs. Requires DoD Secret clearance, 5+ years in manufacturing, and MS Office fluency; relocation may be

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM area with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience (or a minimum of 3 years with an MS).
• Candidates with a high school diploma and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience will be considered.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in MS Office software applications.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance is required.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Factory and Hardware Support: Collaborating with operations team to identify and implement improvements and addressing real-time challenges.
• Process Support & Development: Developing and maintaining manufacturing processes focused on quality, efficiency, and affordability.
• Design Support: Recommending product design improvements and participating in producibility reviews.
