Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a production technician in San Jose to help ensure that our assembled components meet exact specifications. You will work on microelectronic, RF, hybrid and/or semiconductor assemblies, often under a microscope, and collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering to troubleshoot procedures.

This role emphasizes ownership of quality, adherence to safety and export regulations, and willingness to learn and improve.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years prior work experience in microelectronic, RF, hybrid and/or semiconductor assembly.
• Proficiency in at least three of the following skills: wire bonding, gap welding, eutectic die attach, epoxy attach.
• Be able to handle devices, and other small components using tweezers under a microscope.
• Basic computer skills for documenting defects and time charging.
• Equipment set-up and calibration.
• Routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Responsibilities

• Handle devices and small components under a microscope.
• Work independently and take ownership for quality and continual improvements.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with your team to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Ability to work under a microscope 8 hours per day.
• Communicate in English and read work instructions; MIL-STD knowledge preferred.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve procedure specification challenges.
