Job summary

Stellant Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Micro-Electronics Assembler to perform high-precision assembly of microwave modules, including brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding, under a 60x microscope. Work involves interpreting drawings and routers, assembling to specifications, inspecting for quality, and assisting Engineering with documentation updates.

Candidate must meet production schedules and maintain accurate logs and paperwork.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a high-volume, microwave or other high technology experience.
• At least 7 years of brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding processes.
• IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-2000, NASA-STD-8739.3, or equivalent
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and detailed work instructions
• High School Diploma or GED Required

Responsibilities

• Perform works from specifications, drawings, blueprints, test procedures, data sheets, oral and written instructions independently.
• Mechanical assembly for HI-REL channel amplifiers housing fabrication.
• MIC assembly including brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding.
• Support test for electrical changes being performed for tuning purposes.
• Exceptionally skilled at brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding processes.
• Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time
• Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
• Perform inspections to ensure assemblies meet standards
• Disassemble, modify, rework, re-assemble assemblies and subassemblies
• Basic troubleshooting with or without guidance from Engineering
• Serve as primary trainer for defined area and assist in other trainings as required
• Meet/exceed high complexity part numbers/processes as determined by leadership
• Maintain logs, paperwork, and forms accurately
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
