Microbac Laboratories, Inc. in Wilson, NC is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee analytical data and ensure regulatory compliance. The role leads a team of analysts in daily production and works to develop and validate new test methods while maintaining training records and documentation.

The position involves interaction with internal teams and external clients, ensuring high-quality data and adherence to cGMP standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Laboratory experience in a cGMP environment, preferred.
• Technical knowledge of USP Microbiology tests.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• High level analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct analysis and read, interpret, and report technical data.
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive or highly technical inquiries.
• Ability to prioritize own and other’s time to meet the demands of the overall workload and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Processing of samples across the various laboratories.
• Overseeing a team of analysts and technicians throughout daily production to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Conduct routine training of all laboratory staff and maintaining training records.
• Provides technical and scientific guidance to the laboratory and oversees development/validation of new methods, non‑routine work, data validation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensures the laboratory complies with regulatory, accreditation, certification and/or licensing requirements and that data is reliable.
• Acts as a technical resource for the laboratory.
• Supervises laboratory procedures and validation of results.
• Maintains records and manages all testing activities.
• Reviews data for accuracy and final analytical data report.
• Monitors QA/QC standards and validity of analyses to ensure reliable data.
• Collaborates with sales/project teams to address client needs.
• Defines qualifications and training for positions within the unit.
• Ensures documentation and training records are maintained.
• Participates in instrument validation and process improvement.
• Assists QA with audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Interprets technical results for clients with Project Managers.
• Addresses internal investigations and non-conformances with QA/Lab Leadership.
