Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services LLC is seeking a Microbiologist III to perform virus diagnostic testing, participate in immunology-focused research, and train laboratory staff. The role requires strong knowledge of virology, molecular biology, and biosafety practices.

The position involves conducting assays, managing records, and communicating results through presentations and publications, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration on international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, virology, immunology, molecular biology, biological sciences, or a closely related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.
• Master's degree preferred with 3-5 years of lab experience in viral diagnostics or related areas.
• Experience with DFA, RFFIT and other rabies-related diagnostic assays.
• Experience conducting diagnostic or research activities in BSL-3 labs and with zoonotic pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Perform virus diagnostic testing and assays (DFA, RFFIT, and others).
• Train lab staff and external researchers in diagnostic assays.
• Lead/participate in animal studies and immunology-related research.
• Maintain detailed lab records and reagent inventories.
• Present research findings at meetings and conferences.
