Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Microbiologist III to perform studies on immune responses to vaccines and diagnostics for viral agents in a high-containment lab. You will work with teams on virus testing, assay development, and data reporting in support of public health objectives.

The role requires strong virology/immunology knowledge, hands-on diagnostic experience, and the ability to train others while maintaining rigorous documentation and biosafety practices in BSL-2/3

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field required.
• 2–5 years of relevant lab experience.
• Ability to obtain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform virus diagnostic testing including DFA and RFFIT.
• Develop and validate diagnostic assays with new technologies.
• Train lab staff and external researchers in diagnostic methods.
• Lead animal studies and manage biosafety in BSL-2/3 labs.
• Maintain records, data, and publications-ready documentation.
• Assist with equipment procurement and lab space maintenance.
• Present findings at conferences and prepare manuscripts.
