Job summary
Goldbelt Professional Services LLC is seeking a Microbiologist II to conduct research on biology, pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, vaccine efficacy, and diagnostic method development for infections. The role involves in vitro work, PCR, tissue culture, and diagnostic assay development across BSL-2/3 labs.
Responsibilities include leading in vitro studies, preparing study plans, training staff, and maintaining thorough documentation for publications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology, virology, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or closely related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic in-vitro work including viral inactivation, nucleic acid extractions, real-time PCR, and tissue culture techniques in BSL-2/BSL-3 labs.
- Lead in-vitro studies in BSL-2/BSL-3 environments.
- Develop and validate molecular diagnostic assays and study plans.
