Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services LLC is seeking a Microbiologist II to conduct virus diagnostic testing, including genomic sequencing, using Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms. The role emphasizes meticulous recordkeeping, data analysis, and collaboration across domestic and international teams.

The ideal candidate will have a biology/microbiology background, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain CDC Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biology, Microbiology or related field; 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree preferred in microbiology,virology, biotech, bioinformatics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform virus diagnostic and genomic sequencing using Illumina and ONT platforms.
• Maintain cell lines, virus variants, and reagents for research activities.
• Document laboratory results and contribute to publications and reports.
• Support international research activities and training of personnel.
• Assist with ordering reagents and maintaining laboratory space.
• Analyze data and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
