Job summary

A leading produce company in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking an Operations Technician responsible for overseeing the safe operation and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MHE maintenance, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and commitment to safety adherence. A high school diploma or GED and previous tech school training are preferred. This full-time position involves various physical demands and working conditions including non-traditional hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: technical school with 2 years of relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Log time and materials into the CMMS daily.
