Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a skilled facility maintenance technician for our distribution centers in California. You will develop, implement, and maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and perform basic facility and mechanical repairs.

You will troubleshoot electrical issues, operate equipment safely, and build cross-functional relationships to improve occupancy experience and site reliability. The ideal candidate demonstrates electrical and PLC knowledge, can plan and prioritize independently, and

Electrical and PLC knowledge required.
Ability to work independently and manage time.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills.

Responsibilities

Perform basic facility repairs on warehouse distribution equipment, maintaining a PIV license to operate all PIV equipment at your location.
Perform basic electrical repairs for lighting and circuits.
Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and identify damaged components for timely repair.
Develop cross-functional internal and external relationships to improve operating efficiency and site reliability.
Use established tools to organize and categorize information.
Operate maintenance shop equipment and have working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
