Job summary

Radiant in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to transition Kaleidos from a development build to a repeatable, scalable production system. You will own manufacturing processes for critical reactor components, work with design, quality, test, and supply chain to ensure safe and reliable builds, and drive DFM/DFA to reduce mass and complexity.

This is a hands-on, onsite role shaping the next generation of reactor hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/ manufacturing/ aerospace field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing complex hardware in production or high-reliability settings.
• Experience influencing hardware via DFM/DFA and owning processes end-to-end.
• Strong grasp of machining, joining, tolerance control, inspection, and GD&T.
• Ability to develop documentation such as work instructions and routings.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing and inspection processes from design release to final acceptance.
• Drive DFM/DFA with design engineers to reduce mass, cost, and risk.
• Develop and qualify production processes and tooling for complex hardware.
• Translate drawings and CAD models into manufacturing plans and controls.
• Identify suppliers and capital equipment to support current and future builds.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate across design, quality, test, supply chain, and ops teams.
