Job summary

Radiant in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Thermal‑Hydraulics Engineer to design, develop and implement CFD simulations for the Kaleidos microreactor, ensuring high fidelity, reliability, and safety of systems.

You will tackle complex, multi‑physics problems in a cross‑functional setting, driving milestones toward commercialization of the first mass‑produced nuclear reactor, on a 100% onsite basis at our El Segundo HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics or similar field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency with STAR-CCM+ and ANSYS Fluent CFD codes.
• CAD experience with Siemens NX and related tooling.
• Strong foundation in FEM/CFD modeling principles.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute thermal CFD analysis to evaluate design and performance of Kaleidos reactor systems.
• Develop and implement solutions to model turbulent flow, heat transfer, and multi-physics interactions.
• Identify and implement CFD simulation best practices.
• Build automated workflows to expand simulation capabilities, accuracy, and efficiencies.
• Collaborate across teams and disciplines to support design of reduced order analysis methods.
