Job summary

NXP is seeking a maintenance professional to support the ATMC Metrology Equipment area in the United States. You will maintain wafer fabrication tools, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades to ensure tool reliability.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior Metrology/Defect experience in semiconductors is essential.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: AS, AAS in electronics or related preferred, equivalent experience acceptable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• AA degree in Electronics or related discipline and 5 years maintenance experience, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with the Metrology/Defect area.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC Metrology Equipment area.
• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and monitor wafer fabrication equipment in Metrology (4-point probe, AFM, CDSEM, CD Verity, Film Thickness measurement tools, Defect inspection tools).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; conduct scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
• Complete documentation and train others on equipment maintenance.
• Communicate effectively (written and verbal) while performing duties.
• Stand for long periods (up to 10 hours) and occasionally stoop or crawl in confined spaces; lift up to 50 pounds.
