Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in the United States (Austin area) is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for the ATMC Metrology Equipment area. You will perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication metrology tools, troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, and monitor tool performance.

The role requires 5+ years in Metrology/Defect areas, solid communication skills, and a strong ability to document work and train others.

Qualifications

• Education: AS/AAS in electronics preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Maintenance knowledge for semiconductor/metrology functions is required.
• Minimum 5 years in Metrology/Defect area.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities; good interaction with Operations/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC Metrology Equipment area.
• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and monitor wafer fabrication equipment in Metrology (4-point probe, AFM, CDSEM, CD Verity, Film Thickness tools, Defect inspection tools).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems; perform consumable changes and maintenance activities.
• Complete documentation and train others on equipment maintenance.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form while performing duties.
• Stand for long periods (up to 10 hours); lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
