Senior Meter Services Technician – Distribution

Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Meter Services professional to manage distribution-related tasks and ensure accurate coordination across crews, FieldNet, and SAP-based processes. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory responsiveness, and effective scheduling to support meter-related operations.

Primary duties include handling DG coordination, field communications, and creating notifications while ensuring proper asset records and timely access for meter reading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Engineering Technology or related discipline) with 0–1 year of related work experience; or
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, minimum 2 years related work experience.
• Level II: Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Engineering Technology or related discipline) + 1–2 years related work experience; or
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, minimum 3 years related work experience.
• Level III: Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Engineering Technology or related discipline) + 2–4 years related work experience; or
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, minimum 5 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and direct a solid commitment to safety.
• Assist in responding to PUC complaints, legislative complaints, and claims requests.
• Schedule work and resolve issues in CREWs and FieldNet; support other areas with CREWs, FieldNet and ZCMW issues.
• Coordinate with Call Center and Distribution Control Center to resolve issues.
• Work with EC&M designers and line schedulers for design requests and scheduling.
• Set up appointments for Metering (MRMX, MRFL) and manage access issues.
• Review inventory levels and select appropriate materials.
• Create meter SAP notifications and schedule field personnel.
